DAR to host lineage research workshop

MONROE - The Colonel Benjamin Harrison Chapter of WSDAR is hosting a free workshop on Saturday, Oct.16, on lineage research for prospective members of Daughters of the American Revolution.

The genealogy workshop is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Monroe Public Library downtown and includes information on becoming a DAR member. Two DAR genealogy speakers, Nancy Lesh and Judy Mason, will present information and help participants. The workshop is open to anyone interested in pursuing DAR membership.

Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch, their DAR membership application and any historical documents. There will be Internet service available. The deadline for event registration is Oct. 1.
