MONROE - Nine members of the local Daughters of the American Revolution gathered Jan. 24 to enjoy brunch at Partridge Hall in Argyle.
Members of the Colonel Benjamin Harrison Chapter came from New Glarus, Argyle, Monroe, Darlington and Davis, Illinois. The group caught up on news since the last meeting in November and brainstormed ideas for service projects to tackle in 2016.
The entire membership will share service ideas and plan projects at the next meeting from noon to 3 p.m. on Feb. 9 at the First National Bank of Monroe meeting room. The meeting will include a special program on patriotic music and is free and open to the public.
Anyone interested in the program or the DAR is encouraged to attend. The DAR is a women's service organization supporting historic preservation, education and patriotism. For additional information on the upcoming meeting or DAR call 608-482-2483 or visit the website, colbenjaminharrisondar.org.
