MONROE - The Green County Milk Quality Council, in cooperation with UW-Extension, is sponsoring the 20th annual Green County Dairy Management Seminar from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, in the auditorium of the Ag Building. Advance registration is due Jan. 2.
Dr. Paul Fricke, Dairy Reproduction Specialist will be on the program to discuss "New Management Techniques for Getting Cows Bred." Dr. Kent Weigel, UW-Extension Dairy Geneticist will discuss "Cross Breeding Research Updates for Dairy Cattle"; and Dr. Brian Holmes, UW-Extension Ag Engineer, will be giving a presentation on "Handling Sand Laden Manure".
The advance registration fee is only $5 and includes lunch and handouts. Registrations are due to the Green County UW-Extension Office by Jan. 2. An additional $2 late fee will be charged for registrations received after this date. Enrollment is limited to the first 60 participants who register.
