Cruis'n Wisconsin show set for July 10

BLANCHARDVILLE - Blanchardville Community Pride will be sponsoring its 25th Anniversary "Cruis'n Wisconsin Car, Motorcycle, and Truck Show" Sunday, July 10, rain or shine, in McKellar Park Blanchardville.

All stock to 6-year-old and modified to present vehicles are welcome. The judged show will feature more than 130 trophies awarded throughout 42 classes, with three "Best of Class" trophies in each class, and dash plaques to the first 400 vehicles. There will also be door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, T-shirts, and beer and food available.

Vehicle registrations are $6 before July 7 and $12 at the door. Display only and for-sale vehicles are $6. Registration time is 8 a.m. to noon. General admission is $2, and children under 12 are admitted for free.

This year's feature is Bill and Sue Keck's 1937 Chevy entitled "2x Tremz," a Great Eight Award finalist for the 2010 "Ridler Award." Special attractions include Elvis impersonator Mike Peterson; sign painter and pinstriper Jim Hetzler, Full Boar Machine Shop Dyno; Mark "Madman" Madson's 1978 Cadillac "Packermobile;" St. Vince (John McNeill) Packer fan extraordinaire and his 1957 Chevy Packer car; Wisconsin Army National Guard rock climbing wall; and John Haberman and his rare 1914 Jefferson motorcycle.
