Condon to talk railroads

BRODHEAD - "The Railroad and Brodhead" is the topic for the Brodhead Historical Society meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 30 in the Bank of Brodhead courtesy room, 1104 1st Center Ave.

The featured speaker is Gregg Condon, a Brodhead native who has made a lifelong avocation of railroad history. The program will include a few minutes of video of steam trains in Brodhead. Condon's narrative will discuss ways the railroad touched people's lives and was a significant feature of Brodhead's culture.

Condon is the author of 72 textbooks and reference manuals, and delivered more than 500 convention speeches and banquet emcee presentations.

The public is welcome.
