MONTICELLO -The Monticello Business & Professional Association (MBPA) annual community-wide garage sales will be held Friday, Sept. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10 throughout Monticello and the area. Maps with clear directions and categories of sales items will be available at multiple locations, along with information about the Taste of Monticello offerings.
All registrants for the city-wide garage sales will receive a sign that clearly indicates their participation, information listed on the garage sale map and free adverting in the local media. Registration forms are available at the Monticello Village Hall, on the MBPA website at www.monticello-wi.com, and at other locations. Additionally, the Monticello Community Center-American Legion Hall is reserved on Saturday for entrepreneurs that would like to set up a booth.
Space is also available for home party consultants, such as Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Avon, Stanley, etc.
Any interested consultants are welcome, though preference will be given to local residents. Local gardeners and farm market vendors are encouraged to join the vendors at the Community Center. The Green County Humane Society is also planning to have a table there. Last year, the Community Center was also the site of a bake sale, and the MBPA would like to offer that again to a local not-for-profit group.
