MONROE - The Monroe Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, is now accepting grant applications. Other competitive grant opportunities include the Reasa Charitable Fund and the Reasa Fund for Historical Preservation.
The Monroe Fund offers competitive grants for charitable projects or programs that provide a direct benefit to the people of Monroe as defined by the Monroe School District boundary.
Projects may include enhancement of parks and public spaces, historic and cultural preservation, youth activities and facilities, education, the arts and health and human services.
Applications are accepted from nonprofit organizations only. Requests from individuals for personal projects or needs are not allowed under the federal tax laws.
The application form is available online at www.cfsw.org. Applications must be submitted by using the online application form, no later than 11:59 p.m. April 15. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Mailed, emailed and faxed applications are not accepted.
Successful applicants will be notified of their award by mail. Grants will be presented at a reception in June; the time and place will be announced at a future date. Grantees are required to use their grant within one year of the award.
