Woodpecker program set for monday

DARLINGTON - Richard Mattas will give a presentation on how to restore the Redheaded Woodpecker population, which has been declining in numbers in some areas, at 7 p.m. Monday at the Bluebird Nest Nature Center, 308 Main St., Darlington. Mattas has worked extensively with the Redheaded Woodpecker Recovery Program. There is no charge, and refreshments will be served. The event is open to the public.





Albany

Historical group to meet Tuesday

ALBANY - The Albany Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the historical museum, 119 N. Water St.

After a short business meeting, Larry Hanson, Albany, will discuss how the Albany EMS service started in 1974. He will show pictures and film of the service's beginning experiences.

The free meeting is open to the public.

Browntown

Park board to host spaghetti dinner

BROWNTOWN - The Browntown Community Park Board will host a spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Browntown Civic Center.

Prices are $7 for adults and $5 for children. Carry-outs will be available.

Clean-up day set for Cheese Center

MONROE - Members of the National Historic Cheesemaking Center will have a spring clean-up day starting at 9 a.m. Monday at the Center Campus.

Those who attend should bring their favorite cleaning supplies.

Refreshments will be served.

MONROE - The volunteer family of the National Historic Cheesemaking Center will have a volunteer orientation at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Center Campus, Wisconsin 69 and 21st Street.
