MONROE - Colony Brands hosted a reception at the new Green County Humane Society shelter on Dec. 15 for donors of the Green County Humane Society's Capital Campaign.
During a brief presentation, John Bauman, CEO of Colony Brands, announced two monetary gifts that would support the Green County Humane Society Endowment Fund. Colony Brands employees, through their years of service allocations, gifted $27,000, while Colony Brands gifted $400,000.
The Endowment Fund was established more than a year ago, under the advisement of Linda Gebhardt, donor services representative for the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.
"Establishing the endowment signals our understanding that we need to be able to provide current, ongoing and future financial support to keep GCHS strong and capable of meeting all future needs," said Tracey Pederson, resource development chair for GCHS.
