UW-Whitewater

WHITEWATER — Landon Zimmerman, a native of New Glarus, and graduate of New Glarus High School, is one of 12 members of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater track and field program to earn a spot at this week’s NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, which begin Thursday at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

The Warhawk men’s track and field team will be represented by 11 student-athletes in seven different events, while the women’s team qualified in one event.


St. Norbert College

DE PERE — The following student has been named to the 2019 spring semester dean’s list at St. Norbert College. A minimum 3.5 grade point average is required for academic eligibility.

DePauw University

GREENCASTLE, Indiana — Noah Thompson, of New Glarus, along with 505 classmates, became the 180th graduating class of DePauw University. The undergraduates were awarded their degrees during the program which took place in Neal Fieldhouse in the Lilly Center on May 19. Thompson was awarded a BA in economics

The day’s events included a speech by actor and graduate Drew Powell.
