University of Minnesota Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL, Minnesota — The following students have been named to the 2019 fall semester Dean’s List at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, the university announced today.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average.

Minnesota State Univesity, Mankato

MANKATO, Minnesota — The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean’s lists) for the past fall semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced. 

To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

Local students include:

Albany: Libby Beck, honor list

Blanchardville: Eleanor Fitzwilliams, honor list

New Glarus: Jacqueline Burgess, high honor list


UW-La Crosse

LA CROSSE — The following area students completed degree requirements at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in December.

Belleville: Lauren Locy, bachelor of science, biology major

Brodhead: Payton Wright, bachelor of science, accountancy and finance major 

Monroe: Mackenzie Hesgard, bachelor of science, psychology major; Megan Hill, bachelor of science, communication studies major


UW-Madison

MADISON — More than 1,770 students received degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison during the winter commencement ceremony on Dec. 15, 2019.

Juda: Megan Powers, bachelor of arts, political science, graduated with distinction

Monroe: Matthew Annis, bachelor of science, personal finance; Matthew Monahan, bachelor of arts, legal studies; Matea Moon, bachelor of arts, psychology

New Glarus: Grace Bingham, bachelor of arts, Chinese, graduated with distinction; Markus Nevil, doctor of philosophy, biochemistry

South Wayne: Justin Wiegel, bachelor of science, computer engineering


Upper Iowa University

FAYETTE, Iowa — Upper Iowa University is pleased to announce Jamie Strait, Belleville, graduated Cum Laude Meritum with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in December 2019.
