UW-Whitewater

WHITEWATER — The following local students presented undergraduate research findings at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Warhawks presented a diverse array of projects for spring 2019. A free, public event ran in the James R. Connor University Center Hamilton Room earlier this semester to display the research and give students a chance to talk about their work.

Projects ranged from economics, social work and psychology to performing and creative art pieces. Many of the students have been preparing their research and working alongside their faculty mentors for a year or more.

Brodhead: Brooke Malcook, who is majoring in Elementary Education, presented the following project(s): Occurencias; Moon Cycle and Kiosk Witness.

Monroe: Lucas Neuenschwander, who is majoring in Biology, presented the following project(s): Temporal and Geographic Patterns in the Evolution of Aquatic Plants in Order Lamiales.


Paul Smith’s College

PAUL SMITHS, New York — Chase Steinhoff of Brodhead graduated from Paul Smith’s College in May 2019. Steinhoff earned an associate degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from Paul Smith’s, located in the Adirondacks in upstate New York.


Cedarville University

CEDARVILLE, Ohio — Breanna Lawrence, a Psychology major from Evansville, was named to the Dean’s List at Cedarville University.

This recognition required Lawrence to maintain a 3.5 minimum GPA and carry at least 12 credit hours for the spring 2019 semester.


Winona State University

WINONA, Minnesota — Winona State University announces the Graduation List for Spring Semester 2019.

Brodhead: Erin Kloepping, bachelor of arts, communication studies, magna cum laude


Coastal Carolina University

CONWAY, South Carolina — More than 2,000 Coastal Carolina University students were named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2019 semester. That’s nearly 20 percent of the student body. Local students include:

Central College

PELLA, Iowa — Thomas Fox of Stockton was one of 198 Central College students who graduated with bachelor’s degrees in May 2019. Fox received a bachelor’s degree in Biology.
