Iowa State University

AMES, Iowa — Iowa State University’s largest-ever graduating class (5,248) received degrees during four spring commencement ceremonies May 9 and 11. Iowa State awarded 4,439 undergraduate degrees, 527 master’s degrees, 132 doctor of philosophy degrees and 150 veterinary medicine degrees.

Benton: Shay Lierman, bachelor of science, animal science, summa cum laude, honors program

Monroe: Samantha DeVoe, bachelor of science, animal science, magna cum laude

New Glarus: Annie Butler, bachelor of science, horticulture

South Wayne: Channelle Jorgenson Kohn, doctor of veterinary medicine, veterinary medicine


University of Minnesota Duluth

DULUTH, Minnesota — The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has announced its Dean’s List for Spring Semester 2019. Students on the Dean’s List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri — Missouri State University recently awarded scholarships to incoming students for the 2019-20 academic year.

These students were selected from those who applied based on their ACT scores, GPA, standing in graduating class, and leadership shown in community and school activities.

LA CROSSE — Allison Coplien, Monroe, graduated from Western Technical College in the Nursing-Associate Degree program. Coplien is one of the 851 graduates to receive an associate’s degree, technical diploma or certificate in the Spring 2019 term.
