MENOMONIE — Scholarships were awarded to University of Wisconsin-Stout students through the Stout University Foundation Inc.Scholarship recipients from this area are:

Darlington: Elizabeth Wiegel, Undeclared/Undecided, Wisconsin License Plate Scholarship; John Carter Family Memorial Scholarship

Monroe: Jarod Barenklau, Construction, Ideal Builders/Jennifer Schneider-Crubaugh Scholarship

The students received the awards during a scholarship reception on campus, Sept. 13. Many of the generous scholarship donors and members of the board of directors were also in attendance.

Augustana College

ROCK ISLAND, Illinois — Augustana College announced more than 1,000 students named to the Dean’s List for the 2018 fall term. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

Local students include: Jessamine Burch and Eric Tabaka, both of Monroe.
