Clinic offers valet service

MONROE - Monroe Clinic offers free valet parking at the main clinic entrance on 22nd Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The service also is available from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays at the hospital entrance on 5th Street.

Valet parking is available to everyone.

"In the past, we've offered shuttle service and parked vehicles upon request," said Cindy Werkheiser, director of service and process improvement. "Now, with the new construction and increased traffic on 22nd Avenue, we retired the shuttle and implemented full valet service."

Visitors are increasingly taking advantage of the service, Werkheiser said. Attendants now park approximately 100 cars a day.

To use valet service, patients should drive in front of the valet parking sign, leave the keys in the car and check in with a valet attendant. The attendant will give you a parking tag. When you are ready to leave, return your tag at the valet station, and an attendant will retrieve your car.

For quick stops, such as picking up a prescription, Monroe Clinic recently added two 15-minute parking spaces near the main clinic entrance close to the building and handicapped stalls. Parking is also available on the north-side lower level, near the entrance of pediatrics and family practice.
