STOCKTON - The 16th annual Battle of Morseville Civil War Re-enactment is set for Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 at David and Eloise Pierce Farm, located at 11303 E. Schuller Road, Stockton. The encampment and re-enactment are presented by the Third Iowa Light Artillery.
Saturday's activities include a farmer's market, drills, first person contest, pie auction, fashion show, skillet toss, artillery dress parade and a battle and medical scenario. At 7 p.m., a night firing, a bon fire and sing-along will take place.
A church service is set for 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Other Sunday activities include a baseball game, fashion show and raffle drawings.
Lunch is provided by Stella's Cafe and Catering.
Admission is $5 and children 6 and under are free.
The event is hosted by the David Pierce Family, the Stockton American Legion and the Friends of the NRA.
