MONTICELLO - Monticello Chamber of Commerce annual community-wide garage sales will be held on Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13 throughout Monticello and the surrounding area. Some sales will also be open for business on Thursday, Sept. 11.
Garage sales sponsored by the Chamber will be featured on a map with an attached spreadsheet indicating categories of sale items. The handout will be available Thursday, Sept. 11 at multiple locations in Monticello, including the Village Hall, Gempeler's, Greenwoods State Bank and various dining places.
The Taste of Monticello will feature local businesses with luncheon specials available for shoppers. Businesses include A&W at CITGO, Boars Nest, Eagle Pass, The Kooler, Gempeler's, Rathskeller, Lucky's Farm Tavern and M&M Café.
The Park Shelter will hold the Historical Society garage sale, Washington Center 4-H Bake Sale and the Lioness food stand open.
