City to host blood drive on Dec. 5

MONROE - The city of Monroe is hosting a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Dec. 5 at the westside fire station, 601 W. 17th St., Monroe.

Appointments can be scheduled through Arianna Meier at ameier@cityofmonroe.org or by phone at 608-329-2533 or can be scheduled at redcrossblood.org.

All blood types are needed, and individuals who are at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may donate.

A blood donor card or a driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Walk-in donations also are welcome.

Anyone interested in volunteering to help set up, clean up, work at the drive or donate snacks and refreshments may contact Arianna Meier at 608-329-2533 or ameier@cityofmonroe.org.
