MONROE - The Monroe City Band's annual Christmas concert will be held at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 in the sanctuary of the Monroe United Methodist Church, 2227 4th St.
There is no admission charge, but donations of non-perishable food and personal care items will be accepted for the Green County Food Pantry.
The band will perform "Sounds Of Christmas" arranged by John Wasson; "Wenceslas Variations" by John Stout; Gustav Holst's "First Suite In E Flat;" "The First Noel" a setting of the carol with Pachelbel's Canon as the accompaniment; "Pixar Movie Magic" arranged by Michael Brown; two movements of William Rhodes' "Tres Danzas de Mexico;" and an audience sing-a-long featuring favorite carols called "Merry Christmas Everyone" compiled by Steven Reineke.
Following the concert, refreshments will be served in the Fellowship Hall.
