MONTICELLO - Washington Reformation Church will hold its annual music festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The first celebration, which included music and food, was held on July 4, 1876, on the new foundation of Washington Church, and the tradition has continued over the years.

Food, provided by Taste of Washington, will be available all day, starting at 11 a.m. The first band will start playing at noon. Scheduled bands are Greg and Lonnie Wild featuring Bill Gempler and Mark Gruenenfelder, Country Four, Keith Zweifel Band and Greg Anderson. A quilt raffle also will be held.

To get to Washington Reformation Church, take County C west from Monticello. Go five miles and turn left on Church Road.

Admission is free, but a donation of $5 is suggested. The event will be held rain or shine.
