MONROE - The church choir and African drum ensemble will present the cantata "Come, Touch the Robe" by Pepper Choplin at the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the Union Presbyterian Church, 2707 5th St., Monroe.
Those participating in the choir are: Susan Anderson, Jessica Beardmore, Maggie Beardmore, Bobbie Bernet, Hans Bernet, Sarah Bodell, Dennis Cappe, Larry Coffey, Natalie Dillon, Tracy Dillon, Tina Duemler, Nan Edmunds, Linda Goltz, Jonna Heins, Daryl Miller, Geri Miller, Jo Ellen Mosher, Paul Nelson, Kathy Reffue, Marilyn Sandin-Ross, Jacob Scherer and George Vernon. Soloists for the cantata are Susan Anderson and Jacob Scherer. Rev. Jesse Larson will narrate.
The African drum ensemble consists of Bobbie Bernet, Bodell, Bruce Duemler, Jonna Heins, Al Hudson, Chris Knuteson, Kathy King, Suzanne Koch, Larson, Diana Oostdik, Mary Richardson, Chris Wellington and Chuck Wellington. The drum ensemble is directed by Bodell. The choir is accompanied by Mary Soddy and directed by Maynard Heins.
The church is handicapped-accessible, and the public is invited to attend the presentation.
