Church to host cookie walk

ORFORDVILLE — The New Horizon United Methodist Church is hosting a cookie walk at 9 a.m. on Dec. 14 at the church, 1726 South Murphy Road, located between Footville and Orfordville off Wisconsin 11. For more information, contact the church office at 608-876-6256.

Church to host annual Christmas Barn Service

BLANCHARDVILLE — New Hope Lutheran Church will host the annual Christmas Barn Service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the Richard Taylor “Happy Barn,” 7893 McKenna Road, rural Hollandale. It is a handicapped accessible facility. 

The service will feature familiar Christmas songs and the traditional Christmas story, complete with live animals, shepherds and a baby in a manger, along with a message of God’s love for all people.

Those who attend should dress warmly. There will be food and fellowship following the service. 

An offering will be taken during the service to benefit the food pantry.

Church to host ‘Christmas for Kids’

MONROE — Resurrection Lutheran Church in Monroe will host a “Christmas for Kids” event from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at the church, 1603 16th Ave.

This event is intended for children ages 3-10. There will be snacks, crafts and activities, as well as time to learn about the reason Christmas is celebrated. Registration for this event can be completed by emailing Vicar Seth Krueger at vicarkrueger@rlcverona.com or calling 507-217-6181.

NEW GLARUS — The New Glarus Bible Church is hosting a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27 at the church, corner of 3rd Ave and 6th St.
