MONROE — Main Street Monroe will hold their 17th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. Individuals, business and organizations are welcome to participate with an entry.

The parade will organize at the Monroe Middle School, north side and Monroe School District parking lot, before 6 p.m., and proceed around the historic square returning to the Monroe School District parking lot.

Generators will be available from PDC, Precision Drive and Control, Inc., for any entry that needs electricity.

To reserve a generator, contact Susie Krueger at PDC prior to Nov. 27 to make arrangements. Approximate power requirement should also be provided to Krueger. There is a limited supply of generators which will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

To avoid confusion, there will be only one Santa and Mrs. Claus in the parade and Main Street Monroe will provide them.

The Monroe Tuesday Noon Optimists are sponsoring a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus after the parade at Wisconsin Bank & Trust. There will be crafts, hot chocolate, treats and photos with Santa.

For an entry form or with questions, contact Tom Miller, parade co-chairman, tmiller4421@charter.net or 608-329-4421 or Melisa Zettle, parade co-chairman at melisaschmidt@hotmail.com or 608-444-1607.
