‘Christian Crescendo’ April 22 at the Driver

Members of the United Methodist Church of Darlington’s choir will be among the church members performing at the “Christian Crescendo” held at 7 p.m. April 22 at the Driver Opera House.

DARLINGTON — The Driver Opera House will present “Christian Crescendo” at the Driver Opera House located at 250 Main Street in Darlington on Saturday, April 22 at 7 p.m.  

“Christian Crescendo” is an evening of Christian/gospel music performed by area churches for all to enjoy. The event will be a night of sharing the talents of church members from United at Church of Darlington, First Baptist Church, Iglesia de Cristo Mission Christiana, Lady of Fatima-Holy Rosary, United Church of Christ, Lafayette County Christian Center, Community Evangelical Free Church and more.

The “Christian Crescendo” is a fundraiser to help raise money for a much-needed elevator for the second-floor Driver Opera House. The Driver Opera House Restoration, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to restoring this historic landmark three years older than the Statue of Liberty. The installation of the elevator is a restoration priority. Currently, the second-floor opera house is not handicapped accessible.

Admission for the “Christian Crescendo” is $10. Tickets will be sold at the door only. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. Refreshments will be sold at the event.
