JUDA - The choirs of Juda Zion and Oakley Union churches will combine their voices in the cantata "Christmas Is Coming - Sing For Joy" on Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 at the Juda Zion United Methodist Church.

The new musical, written by Gary Rhodes and Deborah Craig-Claar, and directed by Shelly Jordan, highlights both new and old Christmas favorites.

Narration will be given by Darlene Becker and Dennis Pfingsten, with solos by Luke Jordan, Sadie Pollock and Kim Becker. Two trios will be featured - the women's group consisting of Joyce Hoesly, Jean Busker and Sharon Creuzer, and the men's trio made up of Luke Jordan, Derrick Byrne and Dan Pollock. Several children will also take part in the program.

Songs included in the musical are "Everywhere It's Christmas," "He Has Come For Us" and "Adore Him," which includes "O Come All Ye Faithful," "The First Noel" and "Silent Night."

The event is open to the public. Presentations are planned for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 7 and at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 14, at the Juda Zion United Methodist Church.

After each performance, a time of fellowship and refreshments will be provided.
