Green County Cheese Days is seeking an ambassador for the 2026 festival. Applications are due April 18 and the winner will be announced July 25. The 2026 Green County Cheese Days will take place Sept. 18-20.

MONROE — Calling all young and motivated cheese lovers and festival enthusiasts: Now is the chance to shine as a representative of the oldest food festival in the Midwest — the Green County Cheese Days Festival. The festival, known for a rich heritage combining agriculture with the Swiss roots of Green County, is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as brand ambassador for 2026.

The ambassador will enhance awareness of the festival through marketing initiatives like participating in media interviews, attending cheese industry events, and working on social media campaigns.

This is a great opportunity to build skills in public relations, to learn about boosting a brand, and to get immersed in the Wisconsin cheese industry.

Cheese Days provides official outfits and a $500 stipend, and reimburses for mileage and other expenses.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by Sept. 1, 2025. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of the dairy or cheese industry, and should be willing to learn about cheesemaking and the history of the festival. Those with experience in communications, marketing, and public relations are encouraged to apply.

Applications for the ambassador position, due April 18, 2025, can be found on the festival’s web site cheesedays.com, under the INFO tab. Applicants are asked to write a bio, and record a short video to introduce themselves.

The ambassador will be officially introduced to the public along with the 2026 Cheese Days King and Queen during intermission at the Main Street Monroe Concert on the Square on Friday, July 25, 2025.

The next Green County Cheese Days Festival will be held Sept. 18-20, 2026.
