Cathy Lee Nursing Scholarship awards $500 to Marty Williams

DARLINGTON — The Cathy Lee Nursing Scholarship Committee has selected the recipient for their nursing scholarship.  This year’s recipient, Marty Williams, exemplified educational and community accomplishments. 

He received the $500 award on June 7. Marty Williams of Argyle is currently studying nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He is a 2020 graduate of Darlington High School. Marty is the son of Jeremy Williams and Emily Larson, of Darlington and Argyle. Marty is currently a nurse intern at SSM Health in Monroe in the ICU. Marty is and will be the Executive Director of the Student Nurse Association, as well as a Student Nurse Ambassador, at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for the coming year. 

The Cathy Lee Nursing Scholarship Committee’s mission is to promote excellent work ethic and leadership skills in memory of Cathy Lee, a former nursing employee at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.
