Cathy Lee Nursing Scholarship awarded

DARLINGTON — The Cathy Lee Nursing Scholarship Committee has selected the recipient for their nursing scholarship.

This year’s recipient, Mariah Wiegel, exemplified educational and community accomplishments.

She received her $500 award on June 19. Wiegel is currently studying nursing at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa.

She is the daughter of B.J. and Vicki Wiegel of Darlington. She currently works at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.

The Cathy Lee Nursing Scholarship Committee’s mission is to promote excellent work ethic and leadership skills in memory of Cathy Lee, a former nursing employee at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.
