MONROE — To continue supporting the local community, various cuts of pork were just donated by Bug Tussel Business Development Manager, Kelly Schiefelbein Wixom, to the Green County Inter-Church Food Pantry in Monroe. Thirty-eight pounds of meat were donated to this pantry alone. The rest of the meat was donated to other food pantries throughout Southern Wisconsin.

In July, on behalf of Bug Tussel Wireless/AT&T, Regional Business Development Manager, Tammy Wiedenbeck, and Business Development Manager, Jason McCullick, supported the Lafayette County Livestock Auction by bidding on exhibitor projects and purchasing the hog shown by Spencer Hay-Skattum, son of Travis and Danica Hay-Skattum.

Avon Locker Plant helped with the processing.

Food pantries continue to serve hundreds of families in need. Any donations given to help support the community can be dropped off at 1129 17th Avenue, Monroe from 2-4:30 p.m. on Mondays and 9-11 a.m. on Wednesdays.

If a Monday is a holiday, the pantry will be open on Tuesday. Other hours may be available by appointment by calling (608) 329-7511.
