MONROE - Strong community support through donations and volunteering made the donation buffet from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 21 at Pizza Hut a success. Pizza Hut and First Baptist Church of Monroe held the buffet to help the families of Jennifer Hopkins, Gage Noble, Anya Teasdale and Joe Wyss.
Pizza Hut donated 100 percent of buffet sales. A total of 568 people were served and nearly $6,400 was raised within four hours.
Some of those who helped at the buffet were Kristine Hudson, Anna Venden, Matt Spoonhour, Samuel Spoonhour, Chuck Martin, Steven Spoonhour, Rosemary Hudson, Jamie Rische, Kelly Metz, Anna Spoonhour, Stephanie Hopkins, Brad Casper, Kyle Campbell, Amy Krass, Shelby Moldenhauer and Beck Eley.
