BTC to host Soul Food Luncheon

JANESVILLE - Blackhawk Technical College will hold its annual Soul Food Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 27 in the North Commons of BTC's Central Campus, 6004 S. County G.

A menu featuring baked and fried chicken, ham, fried catfish, barbeque ribs and corn bread prepared by BTC students in the Culinary Arts program will highlight the event, which also will include entertainment provided by Harlem Jefferson Duo. The menu also will include sides of okra candied yams, collard greens, black eyed peas, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and coleslaw. Desserts available will include red velvet cake, peach cobbler and sweet potato pie.

Proceeds from the event will be used to fund BTC scholarships for multicultural students. The luncheon is open to the public.
