BROWNTOWN - The community of Browntown invites everyone to attend the 2008 Green County Dairy Days.
Thursday, June 19, is the Queen's banquet with Moo-Tails starting at 7 p.m., followed by the banquet at 7:30 p.m. at the Fire Station in Browntown. Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased at the door that night.
This will be the first official gathering of the 2008-2009 Community Dairy Queens. They answer their "Big Question" at the start of the program to finish the judging for County Queen and Princess.
The winners of the Outstanding Active Ag/Business Couple and the Outstanding Ag Woman (Senior & Junior) will also be announced. A cattle show and arts and craft fair are held beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, at Browntown Park.
The parade begins at 1 p.m. at the water tower and continues down to the park. Crowning of the new 2008-2009 Green County Dairy Queen and Princess and their successors (if applicable) is held following the parade. Browntown Busy Beavers 4-H Club will have a concession stand along with the Green County Ag Chest malt trailer.
