Brodhead dancers to perform in 'Nutcracker'

MADISON - Mariah, Madeline and Makayla Wuthrich, daughters of Tracy and Aaron Wuthrich, successfully auditioned in October for the Madison Ballet's Nutcracker and will perform at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21.

Mariah, 10, and Madeline, 8, performed in last year's production. Makayla, 6, will make her debut on the Overture stage. Mariah will perform as a toy soldier and will lead the Nutcracker's army on stage. Madeline will perform as a Punchinella, a fun-loving Italian dancer who arrives on stage under the skirt of Miss Ginger. Makayla will perform as a Sugar Plum Fairy garden attendant and angel.

Tickets can be purchased at the Overture Center, 201 State St., the day of performance or online at www.overturecenter.com.

The Wuthrich sisters have been dancing at the Brodhead Dance Academy since age 3. Brodhead Dance Academy owner DeAnne Boegli served on the Madison Ballet Board of Directors for five years.
