ORANGEVILLE/SOUTH WAYNE - The ninth annual "Briggs and Reed Tractor Drive" is set for Saturday, Aug. 31.
The drive will leave at 8:30 a.m. from Jim Briggs' place, 3699 W. Winslow Road, and end around noon at Orval Reed's place, 7942 Neeseman Road, South Wayne.
The drive is about 20 miles with a rest stop in the middle. There will be a meal prepared by the Reeds. Those who attend will also get to go through the Reed family's barn filled with antiques. After lunch, tractors will return to the Briggs place.
Those who attend do not need a tractor to participate. Anyone can bring a dish to pass to the lunch. Meat, table services and beverages will be furnished.
