MONROE - Behring Senior Center of Monroe is having its fourth annual drive-through "Brat Fest" on Thursday, Oct. 2, rain or shine. Starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, customers will be able to drive through the north side of the senior center to pick up brats with a choice of condiments, a bag of chips and a soda or water for $5. Brats can be purchased individually for $3. The brats are cooked on site and will be served until 6 p.m.
Service will be given to drive-through customers by a group of senior volunteers including celebrity order takers from various Monroe businesses. The volunteers will take orders and serve customers right in their cars making it an easy alternative for a quick lunch, snack or a fast and easy way to serve the family dinner and support the Behring Senior Center of Monroe.
Porkies is sponsoring the event. Proceeds will go to fund programs and activities at the senior center.
