Boy Scouts plan potato, taco supper

MONROE - Boy Scout Troop 101 of Monroe will host its annual baked potato and taco bar from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 23, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1724 14th St., Monroe.

Those attending may choose between a baked potato or three tacos for their entree. Among the trimmings for the entrees are melted butter, sour cream, cheese sauce, broccoli, onions, bacon and salsa. The meal will include fruit, homemade dessert and beverages. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for youth ages 3 to 10 and those age 2 and under eat free.

A silent auction will also be held during the dinner. Bidders need not be present to win. Popular items from past auctions have included baskets filled with movies and games, homemade baked goods delivered to your home each month for one year and camping and outdoor items.
