MONROE - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Green County is hosting its 28th annual Bowl for Kids' Sake event the week of Wednesday, May 1 through Wednesday, May 8.
The proceeds of the event will go towards making and supporting matches in Green County. Big Brothers Big Sisters is a non-profit organization; it is largely donor funded and the annual bowling event is a major fundraiser for the organization.
There will be several corporate sponsors with grand prizes including a home theater system, Kindle Fire HD, Dr. Dre Beats headphones, Ipod Nano, spa package, $100 gas card and overnight stays in area hotels and bed and breakfasts.
Teams collect pledges and Big Brothers Big Sisters provides free bowling, snacks and prizes. There are many participant prize levels. Anyone with $300 in pledges will be entered into the drawing for the grand prizes to be drawn in the middle of May.
