Dawn Martin and Julian Boss, both of Monroe, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Diane Hoefer and Wayne Martin Sr., both of Monroe. The future groom is the son of Sally Boss, Monroe, and Ervin Boss, Rockford.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Monroe High School and Cobb College. She is a homemaker.

The future groom attended Monroe High School. He is employed by Sico America in Belleville.

An Aug. 8 wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Monroe.
