MONROE - "Korea Reborn: A Grateful Nation Honors War Veterans for 60 Years of Growth" is available for free to Korean War veterans or family members as a gift of gratitude from the South Korean government.
The Green County Veterans Service Office has 20 of these books available. They will be issued on a first come-first served basis to Korean War veterans who are county residents.
The South Korean government created the commemorative book related to the war and South Korea's growth since the war for veterans of the Korean War. The 175-page book is hardbound and full-color.
The book was paid for by the South Korean public and private sectors. The book is available to be picked up at the following locations:
