MONROE - Turner Hall of Monroe's 2014 Swiss Heritage Series will start its year with a book reading and signing featuring Monroe mayor and author, Bill Ross, and his recently released book, "Love's Obsession." The book signing is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 in the Grand Hall of Turner Hall, 1217 17th Ave.

The free event is open to the public.

"Love's Obsession" is the third in a series of fiction murder mysteries set in Monroe. The story unfolds involving a murder on the Square just days prior to Cheese Days, and the ensuing attempt to solve the case, with no motive or suspect, before the huge event begins.

Ross' two prior novels, "Deceived by Self," released December 2011, and "All Passion Denied," released September 2012, also use familiar places in Monroe as a backdrop for stories of murder and intrigue.

In addition to reading from his novel, Ross' presentation will include an opportunity to ask the author questions as well as purchase a copy of his book. A small reception will follow the event.
