SOUTH WAYNE - The South Wayne Community blood drive will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Black Hawk High School.
Parents are encouraged to talk to their teens about giving at the drive since it is difficult for them to give during the school year due to sports and other activities.
Teens 17 and older do not need consent; 16-year-olds may give with parental permission.
Attendees should bring photo ID with them. Make an appointment by calling (800) 733-2767.
Walk-ins are also welcome.
Anyone wishing to donate food to the canteen, or help at the drive can call Connie Meier at (608) 214-1183.
