MONROE — The Community of Monroe and the American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. June 20 at the Monroe Bible Church, 2613 8th Ave., in the Nehemiah Center. The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every two to three seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
