Blood drive exceeds quota

SOUTH WAYNE - Out of 50 potential donors at the Red Cross blood drive Nov. 1 at Marty's Village Inn, 45 pints were collected with a quota of 37, six were deferred and two gave doubles.

There were no first-time donors. Donor Lonnie Stauffer met his 19-gallon mark.

Other donors were Lon Arnes, Janice Brewer, Richard Leuzinger, Sarah Alexander, Candance Gross, Janice Payne, Sue Gerloff, Jack Hagen, Suann Newingham, Richard Fernstadt, Mary Hagen, Grant Dale, Cheryl Dale, Connie Meier, Carol Stoudt, Gary Kleppe, Miranda Lomas, Tom Abley, Deb Wolff, Joan Jenson, Larry Burtkhalter, Amanda Duff, Jim Meier, Chuck Wick, Helen LaDow, Daryl Miller, Don Seffrood, Karen Foley, Ed Ernst, Kenneth Heimann, Jillene Meier, Carol Ruegsegger, Margaret A. Miller, Tracy Williams, Mary McKnight, Ron Bauman, Monica Koch, Larry Moen, Herb Tornow, Donna Wyss, Jim McGee, Donna Wyss, Karen Signer, Janet Goebli, Ashley Fox and Dale Saxer.

Donating to the canteen were Valley View Cheese Co-op; South Wayne Mart with milk; Carole Broge provided sandwiches and cookies. Susie Junk and Joyce Paulson also provided sandwiches. Coordinator Connie Meier brought sausage, cookies, crackers, coffee and sandwiches.

Meier, Junk, Paulson and Broge also served as the volunteers for the drive.
