Blood drive draws 45 donors

SOUTH WAYNE - Red Cross collected 39 pints of blood Nov. 2 at Marty's Village Inn, South Wayne. There were 45 potential donors with the quota set at 28. According to Red Cross officials, to accommodate the increasing donors, more beds and bay areas will be added at the next drive, to be held Jan. 4.

Richard Fernstaedt reached the 20-gallon mark, while Tracy Williams met five gallons and Grant Dale met three gallons. There were no new donors.

Other donors presenting were Levonne Liphart, Dorothy Seffrood, Don Seffrood, Marcia Foley, Sarah Vosberg, Sarah Renken, SuAnn Newingham, Cheryl Dale, Eugene Haldiman, Susan Halverson, Elaine Renken, David Renken, Tom Wellnitz, Steve Ruegsegger, Carey Wick, Larry Burkhalter, Jeffrey Blair - double, Loretta Brummel, Connie Meier, Debra Wolff, Sandy Friedli, Jason Furman, Tommy Meier, Jason Thomas, Judy Curran, Herb Tornow, James Magee, Monica Koch, Janet Gobeli, Steve Gobeli, Lonnie Stauffer, Tim Stauffer, Ed Ernst, Mary McKnight, Tara Herbst, Kaci Nall, Brenda Seagraves, Donna Wyss, Karen Signer, Cody Martins, Stewart Swenson and Dale Saxer.

Donating to the Canteen were Valley View, cheese; South Wayne Mart, milk; Village Inn, coffee; St. John's Catholic Church (Bert Haldiman) sandwiches; Joyce Paulson, sandwiches; Carole Broge, sandwiches and cookies; Loretta Burmmel, cookies; and Connie Meier, cookies, sausage and crackers.

Helpers for the day were Paul Skelton, Susan Junk, Carole Broge, Joyce Paulson, Judy Curran and Connie Meier.
