BLANCHARDVILLE - Looking for a unique way to deck your house out for the Valentine holiday? Join River Valley artists for a play date from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, in the cozy workshop space at 204 S. Main in downtown Blanchardville. Using a mountain of dyed wool and a tiny barbed needle, you'll learn to dry-felt three dimensional shapes out of all-natural materials. The basic technique can be used to make everything from hearts to flowers to animals and people. Transform fluffy locks into furry, funny, festive and flirtatious garlands and corsages. Adults, and children with supervision, are welcome to register for the class at (608) 523-1888. Visit the store to see samples for this and other upcoming classes, including wool braided rugs.
