Blanchardville church to hold live nativity Dec. 20

BLANCHARDVILLE - The annual ecumenical Christmas Barn Service will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Richard Taylor "Happy Barn" in rural Hollandale. The event is a re-enactment of the birth of Christ through a living nativity.

The scene will include costumed performers, live animals, the reading of the Christmas story, Christmas carols and the dialogues that were spoken on that first Christmas night. Guests should dress warmly.

The barn is on the Richard Taylor property, 7893 McKenna Road, rural Hollandale and is handicapped accessible. The farm is approximately four miles north of Blanchardville and approximately three miles south of Hollandale. From Blanchardville, take County F north, turn left on McKenna Road then left on W. Taylor Street. From Hollandale, take County K, turn left on McKenna Road then right on W. Taylor Street. From Darlington, turn left on County K, turn right on McKenna Road, and right on W. Taylor Street. Watch for signs.

Food and fellowship will follow the service. An offering will be taken during the service to benefit the food pantry.
