Blackhawk Tech. offers 3 new classes in the fall

MONROE - Blackhawk Technical College Monroe Campus has three new classes of interest to persons in business or thinking of starting a new business.

• Social Media for Small Business is a one session class set for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, which will answer, What is social media and how can it help your business. This workshop will cover Facebook, Twitter, blogging basics and social media in general for business owners including those who are complete novices in its use. Registration deadline is Oct. 12.

• Build a Basic Web site is a four session class beginning Thursdays, starting Oct. 15 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. This introductory class will provide the design basics to create a well designed, but simple, web page. Text, images, links, and other basic layout elements will be explored. Registration deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 13.

• Internet Marketing for Small Business will begin Nov. 3 for two sessions. There are many things to consider when starting a small business including how to use the Internet or even if you should use the Internet. Come and find out some basic information to consider in regard to web marketing and promotion. Registration deadline is Nov. 2.
