Blackhawk Tech fall classes get under way on Monday

MONROE - With the calendar reaching mid-September, both credit programming and community education schedules are underway at the Blackhawk Technical College Monroe Campus.

The Community Education schedule features a variety of offerings during the remainder of the month. Classes scheduled to start the week of 9/21 include:

• Monday, Sept. 21: MS Word 2007/Beginning, Beginning Conversational Spanish, and QuickBooks-Getting Started;

• Tuesday, Sept. 22: Draw-ing Fundamentals, Digital Photography for Beginners, Painting for Beginners, and Welding;

• Wednesday, Sept. 23: Genealogy on the Internet, MS Excel 2007/Beginning, and Tai Chi;

• Thursday, Sept. 24: Computer for Absolute Beginner and Buying & Selling on E-Bay;

• Saturday, Sept. 26: Resp-onsible Beverage Service and Beginning Soap Making.

Community education fall semester schedules are available at the campus, Monroe Public Library, Monroe Area Chamber of Commerce, Monroe Arts Center, and area banks. The BTC Monroe Campus is located at 210 4th Avenue, on the northwest edge of the city. Campus office hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
