MOUNT HOREB - Grassland birds are declining faster than any other group of birds in the Midwest, but they still thrive in southwest Wisconsin. Bird expert Dave Sample will help people identify the birds through sight and sound during a field trip at 9 a.m. Saturday at Thompson Memorial Prairie in Mt. Horeb.

The field trip will last up to two hours. People should wear long pants, sturdy shoes and can also bring binoculars.

For more information, contact Sample at (608) 221-6351.
