Benefit set for woman battling uterine cancer
Community Brief

WOODFORD — A cancer benefit is planned for Angie (Godfrey) Johnson from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 at Lelle’s Bar, Woodford. There will be a spaghetti dinner, salad and dessert. Carry outs will be available. For questions, or to make a donation, contact Rich Lelle, 608-465-3300.

Johnson is battling uterine cancer since December of 2013. She was cancer free for nearly three years until a scan in July 2017 showed cancer had returned. Her cancer has progressed to stage 4 endometrial cancer and she is currently receiving palliative care. Proceeds will help her and her husband, Darwin, with medical bills and expenses.
